The Lakers women's soccer team traveled to Delta College in Michigan today and dropped a 5-0 match to the NJCAA's 2nd ranked DIII team. Gina Grandini played well for the Lakers and was named the Lakers player of the match. Carli Salatino was named defensive player of the match. Coach Mallon commented, "We had a better style of play today with more posession. The team had a great week of training and that was reflected in our quality of play in possession and organization on defense. Delta is a top flight team and presented another learning opportunity vs a perennial national championship caliber program. I am proud of the team for conitinuing to give their best. I see us on a good path for a strong second half of the season."
