Women's soccer rolls Titans

The Lakeland women's soccer team traveled to Sports Force Park on Saturday to face off against the Terra State Titans. After playing to a scoreless tie in the first half, Lakeland exploded for four goals in the second half to earn the win. Lila Malkamaki opened the scoring 5 minutes into the second half as she converted on an assist from Ashlen Horowski. After that goal, the floodgates opened. Amijah Simons netted the Lakers second goal on a shot from 18 yards out. Horowski picked up her second assist on the play. Domunique Wright made it 3-0 as she chipped one over the Titans keeper on an assist from Olivia Ditzel. Chritina Vanek closed out the scoring on an assist from Lila Malkamaki as she received the pass and dribbled through the defense before rifling a shot past the goalie. Lakeland players of the game were Natalie Pawlowski, Lila Malkamaki, Carli Salatino, and Amijah Simons.

Next Up: The Lakers close out the regular season by hosting the Kellogg Community College Bruins on Saturday (10/22) at Laker Field. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm.
