The Lakeland women's soccer team traveled to Marian University-Ancilla College in Indiana today to face off against the Chargers. The Lakers dropped a tough 2-1 road decision to the Chargers.The Lakers outshot Ancilla 11-8 and had several scoring opportunites - they were just unable to convert. The home team was able to connect for 2 goals on 3 shots on net.  Lila Malkamaki scored the lone goal for the Lakers on a nice assist from Theresa Santilli.

Lakeland players of the game were Lila Malkamaki, Layla Von Berndt, and Georgia Edwards.

Next Up: The Lakers will travel to Terra State on Tuesday (10/10) to face off against the Titans. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm.
