The Lakers traveled to Cuyahoga Community College tonight and dropped a hard fought 3-0 decision to the Triceratops by the scores of 21-25, 21-25, and 22-25. The teams split the season series as the Lakers had just defeated Tri-C on Wednesday night. All three games provided the Lakers with opportunities to earn the win. Unfortunately for Lakeland, tonight wasn't their night as they suffered the loss.

Kaitlynn Minarik led the Lakers with 9 kills and 18 digs. Erica Merth finished with 7 kills, 8 digs, and 2 aces while Astianna Coppes recorded 6 kills, 13 assists, and 9 digs in the Laker loss. Jordan Morman added 1 kill and 5 blocks for Lakeland.

Players of the game were Erica Merth for her backrow defense and serving and Kaitlynn Minarik for all-around play. Astianna Coppes was named honorable mention.

Watt's Word: "We played hard and gave a good consistent effort as evidenced by the scores, but just had a few more errors which sealed our fate."

Next Up: The Lakers have a tough road trip tomorrow as they travel to St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron, MI for a quad match.
